Apple Unveils Exciting New iPad Models: The A16-Powered iPad 11 and M3-Enabled iPad Air

This week, Apple has generated buzz with the anticipated announcement of upgraded iPad and iPad Air models, set to be available for sale soon. Many had speculated that Tim Cook's recent hints about "something in the Air" pointed to the release of a new Macbook Pro M4. However, industry insiders have been keenly awaiting an update to the standard iPad, which has remained unchanged since its tenth generation launch in 2022. The exciting news is that customers will soon have the opportunity to encounter not just one, but two refreshed models. Apple has introduced the iPad 11 and iPad Air M3, available for pre-order now and arriving in stores on March 12th.

The iPad 11 boasts 128GB of standard storage—double that of its predecessor, the iPad 10. It's powered by the A16 chip, mirroring the technology used in the latest iPhone versions, featuring a 5-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. Users can enjoy two 12-megapixel cameras, one on the front and one on the back with wide-angle capabilities. Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

One of the most attractive features is the price point. In an effort to reclaim its dominance in the market, Apple has set the launch price of the entry-level iPad (Wi-Fi model) at $350/€399. However, there's a caveat—this model will not incorporate Apple Intelligence functionalities.

In contrast, the iPad Air closely parallels the performance of the existing iPad Pro model. Equipped with an M3 chip, the 2025 iPad Air is designed to leverage Apple's next-generation artificial intelligence, set to roll out in early April. It features a Liquid Retina display with IPS technology and impressive brightness of up to 500 nits. The base price for the new iPad Air starts at $649/€699.

What do you think about these latest iPad models? models? Do you believe it’s time for an upgrade?
