A newly surfaced photograph from the set of The Witcher's fourth season offers an early peek at Liam Hemsworth's portrayal of Geralt, courtesy of his stunt performer. The inaugural image showcasing 'Geralt' for the upcoming season has surfaced, revealing not Liam Hemsworth himself but his stand-in, hinting at the fresh visual representation we can expect. This includes an updated outfit and hairstyle for the renowned White Wolf in the Netflix adaptation.
Attributed to Redanian Intelligence, the snapshot features Liam Hemsworth’s double for Geralt, Joel Adrian, donning a decorated coat, gloves, and a hair style that slightly deviates from Henry Cavill’s rendition of Geralt. For the uninitiated, Liam Hemsworth steps into the role previously held by Henry Cavill, who exited the project following the show’s third season. Hemsworth is slated to embody Geralt for the show’s fourth and fifth seasons, with the latter anticipated to conclude the series.
It is hoped that an official unveiling will occur soon, with a photo from a script reading session being the nearest we've come to a reveal thus far. However, one of the series' executives has hinted at Hemsworth's impressive transformation into Geralt. During an interview with Express Online, Tomek Baginski expressed his excitement, saying, "Seeing [Liam] decked out in the Witcher's attire and makeup was incredible. He really embodies the spirit of the character."
Looking ahead to the future of The Witcher, an animated film titled Sirens of the Deep will feature the voice of Geralt’s video game persona, Dough Cockle, in a maritime adventure situated between the 5th and 6th episodes of the first season, in alignment with the series' chronology. Meanwhile, there’s a shift in plans for the anticipated live-action Rats offshoot, which is now expected to be interwoven into the new season through flashbacks rather than standing as an independent series.
