Mortal Kombat 1 is set to expand its roster with a new DLC character soon, introducing the notorious villain Homelander from the show "The Boys" on Amazon Prime. WB Games and NetherRealm Studios have not revealed a specific date for his release but have provided fans with a detailed look at the character through a new trailer. Although Antony Starr, the actor known for portraying Homelander on the show, does not voice the character in the game, the game version faithfully captures his distinct appearance and unsettling demeanor.
The trailer highlights Homelander's ruthless abilities, including a violent Fatality that uses his laser vision in a terrifying way with an airplane. The character also retains his bizarre affinity for milk, a detail that remains true to his disturbing habits in the television series.
Currently playable on platforms like PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Mortal Kombat 1 plans to release the Homelander DLC this spring. This addition precedes the release of Takeda, the sixth and final DLC character of this Kombat Pack, which is expected in the summer. Looking beyond these releases, NetherRealm Studios is preparing for more exciting updates, including a comprehensive story expansion.
Fans of both Mortal Kombat and "The Boys" are eagerly awaiting the chance to see how Homelander's terrifying powers translate into the new gaming experience.
